Why KNX DIY?

-

How do you benefit more from KNX than from other home automation systems?

Why KNX self-build.... Save up to 50% with our KNX self-build packages....

Save yourself money by....

These are all examples of work that you can carry out at your own pace without having to pay an expensive professional.

Grinding and cutting slots and pots

Installing the flush-mounted boxes and cables

Clearing away the stone rubble, closing trenches

Laying down all cables

Installing sockets and switches

We deliver  you a detailed plan on which all cables from light points, sockets, internet, TV, etc. are provided with a number and the cable type.

Once all the preparatory work has been completed, we will deliver the electrical cabinet in which everything is fully assembled and all knx modules have been programmed. You only have to hang the cabinet and connect the numbers of the cables to the correct numbers provided on the rail clamps.

The various KNX switches and sensors are also delivered programmed and provided with a label showing the location.

You then only have to place the switches and sensors in the correct location in the wall or ceiling.

The connection is simple with the bus cable, the red wires in the red wago clamp and the black in the black wago clamp provided on the switch. Attach everything to the wall and plug and play, everything is ready for testing.

We therefore provide the bus system for the switches/controls.

You start from the cabinet with a green bus cable and lay it in a loop to all the switches in your home. This system is much cheaper, faster and less labor intensive than the traditional system:

After all, the bus cable is much cheaper than a 3G1.5mm² cable.

You do not have to take into account switches or cross connections and placing 5G1.5mm² cables in between.

Less grinding work, because you don't have to grind slots upwards from the switches.

Less drilling work, you do not have to drill a hole through the concrete slab above the switches. After all, light points are placed directly from the light point to the cabinet.

Even if you are considering the 24V system with the SVV cable, the bus system has its advantages:

The bus cable in a loop is much cheaper than providing an SVV 10x0.8 to each push button.

No calculations and noting how many wires and/or how many controls we have per push button.

The pulsars, timers, relays, dimmers, etc. provided separately in the cabinet are more expensive compared to knx modules.

Fewer errors and major time savings because you do not have to tinker with connecting the many SVV wires with the correct color to the push buttons, the control lights and also in the cabinet to the pulsars.

For extensions or adjustments, simply replace the knx button with another model with more functions or with a sensor. This can easily be done by simply adjusting the wago clamps and everything works again.

So the adjustments and extensions are unlimited with our knx system.

We Provide

all your controls on the central screen,

iPad, smartphone,..

You can then set the necessary atmospheres or controls on this screen yourself

to create. You can group light points, sockets,

save dimming functions in memory,

link screens or shutters to an atmosphere or operation.

You can create time programs and change them yourself

to control your garden lighting.

Adjusting the time of controls with sensors.

We provide these basic functions on your screen as well as a manual so that you can easily adjust them afterwards without anyone having to come by.

If adjustments need to be made to the program, we can also do this remotely. So that there are no unnecessary travel costs.

But of course we will be happy to come to you as support and support if necessary.

All your controls

we can integrate into 1 system.

So that you don't have to search endlessly for the different apps for the

controls.

  1. All controls of light points, sockets

  2. Your electricity consumption or yield via digital meter reading

  3. Reading your PV inverter and batteries

  4. Sonos

  5. Hue

  6. Videophony

  7. Heat pump

  8. Thermostat, reading temperatures per room

  9. Screens and shutters

  10. …….

KNX is a decentralized system. This means no central control unit is required. The buttons and sensors send telegrams and the relevant actor (the modules in your cabinet) responds to this.

The big advantage of this is that if a certain sensor or actor fails or is defective, the rest continues to work as usual.

With a central system with a control unit, if this unit malfunctions, your entire system will be shut down.
